New Washington Ave Bridge Train Crossing Progress Update
The deck has been removed. The gray beams are the new supports they're adding. The old beams are maroon. And they've added large X vertical crossbeams too. It's like they've added another bridge to the existing bridge!

Swat Raid After Hours Club in South Minneapolis
SWAT team members raided an after-hours club in South Minneapolis around 3 a.m. last night.
They initially reported 100 arrests. They have since clarified, saying 75 people were ticketed for disorderly conduct, or being at an establishment after hours and released.
Another dozen were arrested and taken to jail for weapons, warrants, and narcotics. Guns and drugs were recovered at the building on the 3000 block of 27th Avenue South.
Police had been investigating the location for several months.
5 Eye Witness News were kind enough to interview MY MOTHER about the subject. She didn't see or know anything. She was Glad the 3rd precinct was looking out for all in the community.

Victory Memorial Parkway Re-Dedicated on 90th Anniversary.
Today was a perfect weather day, to join the dignitaries and leaders of Minneapolis and Hennepin County, in the 90th anniversary re-dedication ceremony of Victory Memorial Parkway. The signs still say "parkway" but it's now known as Victory Memorial "DRIVE". There was a 10k Run, music, aircraft flyovers, and more. I took photos and videos as long as my memory cards had space. (edit in video and photosynth soon!)

Target Headquarters New Lights Upgrade Our Skyline
They had them working just in time for the Northern Spark fest! The new 700,000 LED light system, on the Target Headquarters building downtown, is dazzling. They'll provide a fresh dose of awesomeness to popular events in the same way Google changes it's logo for special days.

Minneapolis Heat Weather, HOTTER TOMORROW!! Drink Water, Be Safe
It's been a day of historic HEAT! We reached a record high of 97 in today Minneapolis.
Now weather reporters are warning it will be HOTTER tomorrow! We are under an excessive heat warning for the next 24 hours. Freeways have already buckled in at least 3 places.
NOAA is warning of 100 degree temps, with possible haze reaching us all the way from the Arizona wild fires!
STAY SAFE EVERYONE! DRINK LOTS OF CLEAN WATER!
